You are going to hate some countries by the end of this post. Some of these weird laws will make you over think while some are completely pointless. Let’s see which of these bans prove the worst idea ever in the history of law.
1. Milan smile law
Smile all the time or face a hefty fine. Milan in Italy states to smile all time except in funerals or hospital visits.
2. Somalia bans Samosas
The militant Islamists ban samosas as they think it is too Christian due to its resemblance to the Christian Holy Trinity.
3. Ketchup banned in France
The reason for this ban that it masks the true flavour of French Cuisine.
4. Kinder eggs banned in US
US customs seized a whopping 60,000 kinder eggs in 2011 because they pose choking hazards.
5. Iran bans Western Haircuts
Iran bans homosexual and devil worshipping haircuts under anti- western rules.
6. Saudi Arabia’s ban for valentines day
Red items that are symbol of love are banned and the Commission agents raid the shops few days before valentines day.
7. China Reincarnation ban
China has banned Buddhist monks in Tibet from reincarnating without Government permission.
8. Naming law in Denmark
In Denmark parents are limited to to the list of 7000 names and the local church has to approve it followed by a review by Government officials.
9. Jogging banned in Burundi
The country’s president banned jogging and claimed that they are used as cover to plan destructive activities.
10. Australia bans pornography featuring woman with “small” breast
The reason behind the ban is to avoid a psychiatric disorder in which adults develop attraction towards prepubescent children , generally age 11 years or younger.
11. North Korea bans blue jeans
Apparently the colour is associated with United States and not black but blue jeans is banned.
12. India banned Alcohol Advertisements
In late 1990’s India had banned advertisements on alcohols and beverages. However, many brands have tried to get around the ban but some of those have come under fire from the Government in the past.
13. Melbourne ban on dressing like woman
According to an old law it is illegal for men to appear in a strapless gown.
14. Germany bans running out of petrol
So those who do breakdown must pull over and use their horn to attract attention and are supposed to pay penalty for endangering drivers.
15. In Jeddah, Saudi Arabia bans on Muslim women
In Saudi Muslim women are banned from using hotel swimming pools and spas. In many of the Muslim countries they are banned from driving a car, voting and reading fashion magazines.
16. Italy ban on kissing
Italy is often considered one of the most romantic countries in the world but be careful as kissing in a moving car is banned and breaking this law can cost you several hundreds dollar.
17. Minnesota in USA underwear ban
Hanging female and male underwear together in same washing line, is banned in Minnesota, USA.
