Injuries during action scenes and dance sequences are such a common thing these days. Here are 10 such filming accidents that you probably didn’t knew.

1. Amitabh Bachchan in Coolie

While shooting for a fight seen in 1982 Big B got injured grievously in his intestine and two weeks to recover. This event made headlines overseas and Big B fans all over the world were praying for his recovery.

2. Shahrukh Khan in Dulha Mil Gaya

He suffered from a severe shoulder injury while shooting for the movie “Dulha Mil Gaya”. In his movie career he has also suffered from three broken ribs, twisted ankle, broken right toe, neck injury, broken back bone and also injured left knee.

SRK even got injured on the sets of “Fan” and said in pieces but in peace as he is quite confident about the movie.

3. Aamir Khan in Dangal

Aamir hasn’t used any body double for Dangal and the exertion has been too much for him. There is a long action sequence which needed multiple takes from different angles. He struggled during the final take and they had to rush to the hospital. Later he suffered a serious shoulder injury.

Sushant was practising to hit Dhoni’s signature helicopter shot and broke his ribs. And he had to rest for more than 3 weeks after this injury.

While shooting for the movie ”Wanted” he suffered from torn ligament on his right arm. This caused problem even while shooting “Dabangg”.

In “Agneepath” remake the actor got a severe back pain during a stunt scene and had to get a MRI test done immediately.

7. Aishwarya Rai in Khakee

Aishwarya unfortunately met with an accident on set. While rehearsing for a scene in the movie “Khakee” a jeep was supposed to come and stop 20 feet away but the driver lost control and hit her badly. She got a fracture on her left feet.

8. John Abraham in Shootout At Wadala and Force sequel

This is truly shocking incident that occurred in the sets of Shootout At Wadala during the climax scene. Anil Kapoor was supposed to shoot a blank bullet at John from 15 feet away but accidentally he shot it from 1.5 meters and bullet hit John’s neck on the right side. The wound still exists on his collar bone.

Another one is quite recent, while the actor promised an exclusive action sequence which left him with busted knees and 3 hours of physiotherapy daily after his surgery in Mumbai.

9. Ranveer Singh in Gunday

It was not an action sequence but a dance sequence where Ranveer came crashing down from the platform, lost his balances, landed on his face and got a couple of stitches.

He even got injured falling off the horse while shooting for “Bajirao Mastani” in Jaipur and went through a shoulder surgery.

10. Akshay Kumar in Rowdy Rathore

Akshay Kumar his famous for doing stunts all by himself and so there is no surprise if he gets injured. While shooting for a pre-climax scene in ”Rowdy Rathore” he injured his shoulder and ignored the pain. After the scene he realised the pain and had to take a break before completing the climax.
