Here are some picks that will surely scare the shit out of you.

THE CONJURING

Directed by James Wan, The Conjuring is an American supernatural horror film. The couple Carolyn and Roger Perron shifted to a cloistered farmhouse on Rhode Island along with their five daughters. Paranormal things start happening in the house after midnight.

Samantha (Najarra Townsend), is drugged and raped by an intruder at a party. The next day she develops weird symptoms and struggles to cover up the increasingly distinct signs of her sexual assault and the whole body horror grosses out the viewers.

A remake as horrifying as this one would have been impossible if it was done by anyone except Fede Alvarez. Jane Levy has done an outstanding job as Mia and serves as both demon and the final girl, crowning in a gloriously bloody final battle.
